In a few days, hundreds of Christian leaders will be together celebrating the work God is doing across the globe through their endeavors as educators. Something powerful will occur in San Diego when our deep longing to be together is met with Christian fellowship and friendship. I talk about that extensively in another article here.
The organizations that have joined together to host Converge have high hopes that each person attending will be challenged and changed in meaningful ways. One hope that I have is for school leaders to lead courageously and renew hope by becoming better equipped to navigate the complex issues and problems we face in the 21st century.
Those attending the Leading Differently Together experience hosted by Baylor’s Center for School Leadership will be uniquely positioned to explore these issues and learn how to find solutions to these new challenges in a context with other school leaders. This complex world calls for an environment to be cultivated where leaders across an institution can collaborate to foster creativity, drive innovation, create trust, and contribute to the solution of adaptive problems.
Here are 3 reasons you should consider joining this experience:
- You’ll discover how we know that when working with other schools, your school gets better.
- You’ll be introduced to tools that will help you identify critical problems that may be keeping your school from the improvement needed to best serve your students.
- You’ll practice collective leadership, which unites the strengths and expertise of teachers and administrators to improve the greater health of your school.
Friends, the BCSL has worked with hundreds of schools, and we believe the best schools understand that leadership is shifting from something you do for others to something you do with others. Come work with us to solve the problems of the 21st century.
If you’ve not registered, there is still space for you and your team to join us on Tuesday, March 8th at 8:30 a.m.
Can’t wait to meet you in San Diego,
Matt Thomas, Ed.D.
