The Baylor Behavioral Medicine Laboratory recently partnered with the Boys and Girls Club of Waco (BGCW) on a successful Allergan Foundation Community Grant application! The funding will be used to start the BGCW FLY Program (Fit Lifestyles for Youth). The proposed project will allow middle and high school youth from the BGCW to learn about healthy lifestyles and participate in exercise training (high intensity interval training; HIIT) aimed to improve overall health and well-being. Sessions will be coached by members of the Baylor Behavioral Medicine Laboratory and we will be examining the impact of the training on overall mental and physical health. We are very excited to extend our HIIT to the BGCW!
