The Baylor Behavioral Medicine Lab is committed to providing education and service to the community. Dr. Ginty visits community organizations to give presentations on numerous topics (e.g., stress, physiological measures, cardiovascular health) to make her research accessible and demonstrate the importance of research in every day life. Additionally, Dr. Ginty oversees a fitness program for at-risk youth and created a class to educate students about poverty and health. Here is a sample of the latest community outreach events and projects:

  • Guest speaker at the Kiwanis Club in West, Texas (July 2018)
  • High intensity interval training (HIIT) offered to at-risk youth at The Cove in Waco, Texas (Spring 2018, Fall 2018, and Spring 2019 semesters)
  • Poverty and Health minimester in Guatemala City, Guatemala (May 2018)
