Alexandra Tyra, M.A.

Alex entered the program under the Behavioral Neuroscience track in Summer 2017 and joined the Baylor Behavioral Medicine Lab in Fall 2018. She received a B.S in Psychological Sciences and a B.S in Criminology and Criminal Justice from Northern Arizona University, where she also worked as a research assistant in a social/developmental lab. Her current research interests include how difficulties with emotion regulation and psychological stress impacts physiological and behavioral outcomes. In her spare time, she enjoys exercising, traveling, or settling down with a good book and warm cup of coffee.

Taryn Cook, B.S.

Taryn entered the program and rejoined the Baylor Behavioral Medicine Lab in Fall 2023. She received her B.S. in Neuroscience from Baylor University in 2021, where she was a research assistant in the Baylor Behavioral Medicine Lab. Following graduation, she worked as a Clinical Research Coordinator at the Center for ADHD within Cincinnati Children’s Medical Center. Her current research interests include the relationship between stress and physical and mental health outcomes and physiological mechanisms that may connect stress and these health outcomes. In her spare time, she enjoys playing soccer, listening to podcasts, and reading.
