Space

Worship spaces in most Nigerian churches are of various shapes, sizes, and designs or shapes. Music is being performed by the church choirs and instrumentalists according to the space provided by the church, either in the pews or individual plastic or wooden chair at the choir stand where they are to stay to perform, usually by the side of the platform – the altar (pulpit). Musicians and the instrumentalist are usually given a prominent place in the front of the auditorium since they are also regarded as ministers in the worship. In some churches, the choir moves to the altar (platform/podium) to sing their special song, or the praise team leads the congregation in choruses during praise time if their stand is not visible enough to the congregation for good physical contact with the audience – congregation, this arrangement is not peculiar to the church setting in Nigerian, though.
