This song is a contemporary Yoruba song that became popular in the year 2019 and is still sung all over till this present time. The song was originally composed by an upcoming gospel artist, Mosun Olaitan (Mosun Exalter) in the year 2017. She is a native of Ijebu-Ibefun in Ogun State, Nigeria. Although some other tribes in Nigeria have embraced the song, it is usually sung more in the South-West churches in Nigeria. “Olorun T’o Tobi” is the praise of the Sovereign God who comes with power, and rules with Mighty arm. He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth. It is a free highlife style of music that gives room to the rhythmic element of African music. This allows worshippers to express themselves through dancing, clapping in a glorious celebration and joyful atmosphere. All kinds of musical instruments ranging from western to local instruments are used when singing this song. This song has been performed by different popular gospel musicians in Nigeria and can be found on Youtube and Cds.
