Student Feature – Kristina Ward
From Russia to Serving Others
Adopted from Russia at just eight months old, Kristina Ward’s parents first visited her on Christmas Day before bringing her to the U.S. a couple months later. They gave her the middle name Noel to commemorate this special occasion. She is incredibly grateful to her parents and the life they have given her. Her adoption motivates her to make the most of the opportunities that come her way. She desires to excel in everything she does and never wants to take her gift of a better life for granted.
Passionate about serving others, Kristina is proud to be a leader within Alpha Kappa Psi (AKPsi) at Baylor. She believes that this professional business fraternity has transformed her college experience. As a result, she strives to provide other newcomers with the sense of family and belonging she found through AKPsi. As the VP of Recruitment, Kristina revamped the organization’s recruiting efforts, doubling the number of events, and brought in a new pledge class of 40 students. She contributes her success to the skills she has learned within her ProSales classes.
Grateful to the program, she has learned that sales is truly about serving others. As salespeople, we are in a unique role to present customers with solutions that can help improve their lives. Kristina credits ProSales with teaching her to be a better communicator and listener, improving her relationships, and allowing her to better help others. Double majoring in ProSales and Entrepreneurship, Kristina looks forward to serving others in her sales career.
