Dr. Rodney Stephens is chair of the English department at Howard Payne University.  He teaches 19^th Century US literature, Science Fiction, and Creative Writing.  In addition to articles on the literature of the First World War and the Vietnam War, he also writes poetry.  His most recent poem, “Waiting for the Hummingbirds” will appear in Avocet: A Journal of Nature Poems later this year.
