Juliet Shields is Professor of English at the University of Washington, where she teaches eighteenth- and nineteenth-century British literature.  Her current research interests include print culture, diaspora studies, and women’s writing, and her most recent book is Nation and Migration: the Making of British Atlantic Literature (Oxford 2016).
