Norman Wirzba is the Gilbert T. Rowe Distinguished Professor of Theology at Duke University, and Senior Fellow at Duke’s Kenan Institute for Ethics. He is the author of multiple books, including From Nature to Creation, Way of Love, Food and Faith, The Paradise of God, and Living the Sabbath. He currently directs a multi-year, multi-disciplinary Luce Foundation-funded project on “Rethinking Humanity in an Anthropocene World.” Norman’s research focuses on the meaning of the doctrine of creation for current thinking about humanity’s place in the world. In his work he draws widely from traditions in philosophy, theology, environmental humanities, agrarian studies, anthropology, and geography. In his spare time he likes to garden, cook, play guitar, and enjoy meals with family and friends.
