Open Positions

The NOAHS Lab at Baylor is constantly looking for highly motivated graduate students, undergraduate students, postdoctoral scholars, and visiting scholars to join our research group. To learn about our research and opportunities, please contact Prof. Alan Wang at alan_wang@baylor.edu. Current open positions are listed below:

Postdoc Research Associate:

We are looking for a Postdoc Research Associate in the area of semiconductor photonic materials and devices. Experiences in the design, fabrication, and characterization of photonic integrated circuits and/or nanophotoic devices are preferred.

Multiple PhD student positions:
Position 1: PhD with research focusing on nanophotonic modulators
Good theoretical background in photonics: integrated photonic devices, photonic crystals, plasmonics, and silicon photonics
Cleanroom experiences preferred
Familiar with numerical simulation tools such as Lumerical, Comsol and Rsoft

Position 2: PhD with research focusing on nanophotonic biosensors
Good theoretical background in optical biosensing: optofluidics, plasmonics, biochemistry, and biosensing testing
Cleanroom experiences and wet chemistry processing preferred

Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU):

Multiple REU positions are open for Baylor students in the School of Engineering and Computer Science, Department of Physics, and Department of Biochemistry

International Exchange Students and Visiting Scholars:
We will accept exchange students and visiting scholars who are interested in the research area of integrated photonic devices and optical biosensors.
