Whitney Johnson is a Sales Capture executive at Accenture, the world’s largest consulting firm with over 700,000 employees globally. She has been in this role for 2.5 years, serving communications and media clients by building relationships and offering tailored solutions. Whitney also leads competitive deals through the RFP process, collaborating with subject matter experts to deliver the best outcomes for clients. Prior to this role, she served as a Training Consultant for a high-tech client in the Midwest.
Whitney’s journey with Accenture began with two summer internships, leading to a full- time role in July 2021. She graduated from Baylor University with a BBA in Professional Selling and Management, where she also had the opportunity to lead the Baylor Women in Business group, an experience she cherishes very much.
Professionally, Whitney’s greatest accomplishment to date is doubling the sales target for a major account during the last fiscal year. Personally, she treasures the moment of getting engaged and accepting her future husband’s proposal.
Whitney is actively involved in Accenture’s African American, Hispanic American, and Women’s Employee Resource Groups (ERGS). These networks have provided her with invaluable opportunities to connect with senior leadership and mentor junior employees within the firm.
Her advice to students majoring in Professional Selling is simple: “stick with it!”. The skills gained in this major are immensely valuable and applicable to a wide range of career paths.
