Ron Dumosch
Retired

Ron Dumosch recently retired after a 20-year career in technology product and services sales. His most recent roles include serving as Vice President of Sales at Salesforce, where he led a team of 10 Account Executives and oversaw sales engineering, marketing, and BDR support, and as Director at Booz Allen Hamilton, a leading defense-focused professional services firm. Known for growing one of Salesforce’s largest accounts to more than $160M in annual revenue, Ron also trained new sales hires on prospecting, territory qualification, and revenue generation.

Ron began his career as a Sales Engineer at Drayton McLane’s technology company after being hired through the Baylor Career Center—an opportunity that set him on a successful path in technical sales. After years working alongside talented Account Executives, he transitioned fully into sales at Booz Allen in 2012, which ultimately led to a major opportunity at Salesforce. Across his career, Ron primarily supported the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, contributing to transformational systems for veteran homelessness, home loans, suicide prevention, and clinical care. These projects stand as his proudest professional achievements.

A 2005 graduate of Baylor University with a BBA in Management Information Systems, Ron credits a formative internship recommendation from Dr. Randall Vaughn for launching his career in tech. His favorite memory remains that cybersecurity class, where a professor’s belief in him changed the course of his life.

Personally, Ron is proud to have achieved Financial Independence/Early Retirement (FIRE), a goal he began planning with his wife during their senior year at Baylor. Reaching this milestone has allowed him to travel more and invest deeply in giving back. He currently volunteers with Front Range Freedom Rescue, supporting the care and wellbeing of animals through weekly visits and health checks.

Ron’s advice to students and young sellers: If you don’t have a plan, you become part of someone else’s plan.

Having a clear plan—and executing it—was his guidepost throughout his career, and he encourages students to adopt the same mindset as they step into their future roles.
