Margaret Newton began her career at Texas Life immediately after graduating from Baylor in 2017. She spent her first 5.5 years as a Sales Director managing the relationship with one of their distribution partners covering the Eastern half of the U.S. In May 2023, she transitioned into the role of Chief Sales Officer.
As the CSO of Texas Life, her primary responsibility is to strengthen the company financially through profitable new sales. Her strategic goals include improving sales predictions, business quality, and sales efficiencies.
Margaret graduated from Baylor with a major in Professional Selling. Her favorite classes outside her primary studies included Negotiations with Judge Wright and a summer abroad program in Florence, Italy.
Professionally, she considers completing her CLU and CEBS designations to be significant accomplishments. On a personal note, one of her proudest achievements is running a marathon.
Her advice to students is to trust the process and understand that there’s a method to the madness in their academic and career journey.
