Herbert Van Patten, II is the Senior Vice President & Chief Sales Officer at ISYS Solutions, Inc., a family legacy corporation providing Nurse Case Management services in the Workers’ Compensation Insurance industry, and its sister company, CareerSmart Learning, which offers online accredited continuing education for healthcare organizations. In his role, Herbert oversees sales strategy and execution, aligning teams with operational goals to achieve and exceed revenue objectives.
Herbert’s career in sales began after serving as a Spanish-speaking Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor with ISYS, where he quickly transitioned into a sales role, sparking a lifelong passion for the profession. He originally joined ISYS in 1991 and rejoined in 2015 as Vice President & Chief Operating Officer before moving into his current sales leadership position in 2024.
Herbert earned a BA in English with a minor in Military Science from California State University, Fullerton, and later received his MBA from Chapman University. He also served as an Infantry Officer in the United States Army and participated in the California National Guard through the ROTC Simultaneous Membership Program, gaining hands-on leadership and operational experience.
Outside of work, Herbert is active in DECA, Trout Unlimited, and the Wounded Warrior Project, supporting initiatives that enhance communities, natural habitats, and individual well-being. He is passionate about mentoring sales professionals and advocating for sales as an impactful career.
