Executive Territory Manager
Terumo Interventional Systems
Grant Nations is a veteran Sales Leader at Terumo Interventional Systems, a global medical device manufacturer serving vascular surgeons, interventional cardiologists, and interventional radiologists. Over his career with Terumo, Grant has held multiple roles of increasing responsibility and is now the longest-tenured sales professional in the U.S. organization. During his tenure, he has seen the company grow from $100 million in U.S. revenue to over $1 billion, contributing directly to that success through consistent, top-tier performance.
In his current role, Grant’s primary responsibility is to exceed sales quota while providing clinical expertise to physicians on the proper use of Terumo’s endovascular devices. His daily work includes sales calls, surgery support, inventory management, contract and pricing negotiations, and high-touch customer service. Working within a rapidly growing and aggressively goal-oriented organization, Grant is known for reliability, deep product knowledge, and strong long-term customer relationships.
Grant began his medical device career shortly after graduating from Baylor University, landing a sales support role with United States Surgical before quickly being promoted into a full-line sales position. Since then, he has built a diverse background across both major med-tech companies and early-stage startups, giving him a comprehensive understanding of the industry.
A graduate of Baylor University’s Hankamer School of Business with a degree in Marketing, Grant focused on Sales and Sales Management. His favorite coursework included Sales and Business Analysis, and he credits professors Richard Easley, Bill Weeks, and Jeff Tanner for shaping his professional foundation.
Grant’s achievements include exceeding quota for 16 consecutive years and earning President’s Club honors six times. Personally, he is most proud of raising two sons who are now fully independent.
His advice for aspiring sales professionals: Learn to embrace failure, operate with integrity, and always prioritize long-term relationships over short-term wins.
