Abby Carper, an ambitious and accomplished sales professional, represents Elastic as a Mid-Market Account Executive. In this role, she focuses on selling software that powers generative Al, specializing in search, security, and observability. Abby manages a book of business that includes 20 accounts spanning industries such as retail, financial services. and consumer goods, many of which are Fortune 40-250 companies. Her primary responsibilities involve growing customer spend, working closely with technical teams to address strategic business initiatives, and shaping their technical roadmaps. Partnering with a sales engineer, Abby oversees the sales process, managing executive relationships and ensuring seamless execution.
Before joining Elastic, Abby started her career at Harness as a TDR, quickly rising to Commercial Account Executive. After a successful year and a half in that position, she transitioned to Elastic, where she continues to excel in the Mid-Market segment. Abby is a proud graduate of Baylor University’s Professional Selling program, where her favorite classes, including Negotiations and ProSales 2, played a crucial role in shaping her into the sales professional she is today.
Professionally, one of Abby’s standout accomplishments was closing a six-figure deal in just 25 days from the initial meeting-securing the signature just 45 minutes before the fiscal year ended, earning her a spot in the President’s Club. This memorable success even led to a heartwarming connection with the customer, who later introduced Abby to his family at a Taylor Swift concert. Personally, Abby counts marrying her supportive and hardworking husband as her greatest achievement.
Outside of work, Abby is involved in the Texas State Society, Kings Church DC, and is an active member of the Chi Omega sorority. Abby’s advice for students is simple but powerful: “Work harder than your peers and get comfortable being uncomfortable.” She credits the Baylor ProSales program as one of the best decisions she ever made, preparing her for the challenges and rewards of a career in sales.
