Tyler Skelton’s professional journey has been nothing short of transformative during his tenure at PwC, where he has spent just over two years. PwC has provided Tyler with an enriching environment that has enabled him to refine his skill set and offered numerous growth opportunities as a sales professional. He commenced his journey with the firm in May 2021 as a Sales Development Rep and swiftly climbed the ranks, securing a promotion to his current role as an Inside Sales Rep in January 2023.
In his current role, Tyler is entrusted with significant responsibilities. His primary focus is on driving sales cycles, both from inbound leads and cold prospecting, primarily conducted over the phone. Sales and revenue generation are at the core of his responsibilities. He actively engages with current and prospective customers via phone and email, evaluating prospects’ needs, qualifying leads, and meticulously building and managing the sales pipeline. Tyler is dedicated to reporting sales metrics on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis. Furthermore, his role involves leading or participating in various internal calls that encompass sales, marketing, and product discussions. He also takes the lead in delivering external sales presentations, product demonstrations, proposals, and contracting.
Tyler’s journey into the professional world began with Fisher Investments, where he initially joined as an Account Executive. He pursued his academic endeavors at Baylor University and graduated as a ProSales alum. His time at Baylor and the remarkable opportunity to join PwC have been instrumental in shaping his personal and professional growth. Tyler considers being accepted into Baylor and joining PwC as both his greatest personal and professional accomplishments. They provided him with a solid foundation and a clear path to becoming the individual he is today. His journey reflects the importance of being genuine and authentic, as well as embracing the discomfort that comes with professional growth.
