Tony Segoviano
Account Executive
Snowflake

Tony Segoviano embarked on his journey with Snowflake in August 2020, marking the start of a remarkable experience filled with both professional success and continuous learning. Joining the company just before its IPO, Tony witnessed the excitement and growth that followed, expanding Snowflake’s offerings to cater to a broader range of customers. As a testament to their achievements, the team at Snowflake expanded to accommodate this impressive growth.

Tony’s role evolved from handling a patch with many prospects and few customers to focusing on a select group of strategic customers. His primary responsibility is to ensure customer success by making the best use of Snowflake’s Data Cloud. He helps customers achieve positive business outcomes and explores new areas where they can leverage the platform, educating them on the possibilities. Managing the entire contractual process, including renewals and expansions, is also a vital part of his role. His day is spent engaging with clients, preparing for customer interactions, prospecting, staying updated on industry advancements, and managing administrative tasks. Tony’s journey began in the technology industry with a focus on tech sales, which proved to be a lucrative venture. He started as an Inside Sales Representative at OPNET, where he set appointments for outside sales counterparts.

His early career was marked by rapid growth, and he was soon promoted to outside sales, catering to universities along the East Coast. The acquisition of OPNET by Riverbed presented him with the opportunity to move into Enterprise Sales, which he pursued for over a decade, specializing in selling to enterprises in the Southeast. Tony graduated from Baylor University in 2009, holding a double major in Professional Selling and Real Estate. He acknowledges the significant impact of his education, particularly the advanced Professional Selling course with Dr. Jeff Tanner. His most substantial professional achievement to date is closing his first 8-figure deal, marking a significant milestone.

On a personal note, he takes immense pride in being a father to his two children, Luca and Audrey. Tony is actively involved in his church and contributes to the local Ronald McDonald House Charity. While these activities may not directly impact his career, they provide a sense of purpose and motivation. He advises aspiring sales professionals to seek inspiration and learning from the experienced individuals around them, including professors, volunteers, speakers, coaches, and board members, considering each valuable interaction as a chance to find “nuggets” of wisdom to shape their own professional journey.
