Ruby Hernandez
Global Markets Analyst
Goldman Sachs

Ruby Hernandez works at Goldman Sachs in their Global Banking and Markets Division, where she supports the Leveraged Finance Desk. She has been with the firm for less than two years, starting as a junior analyst and being promoted to a senior analyst.

In her role, Ruby Joe focuses on executing trades, ensuring trades are completed before markets close, and building relationships with sophisticated clients like hedge funds and private equity firms. She also connects with CFOs to better serve their needs and increase wallet share.

Ruby Joe’s journey to Goldman Sachs began when she expressed interest in the firm during her junior year. She interned at a Berkshire Hathaway company and was accepted into the firm’s summer series program, which allowed her to network with professionals and learn more about the different divisions.

She graduated from Baylor University with a degree in Professional Selling and Marketing. She cherishes her time in the ProSales program and fondly remembers meeting her best friend, Amanda, through the program.

Professionally, her accomplishments include being promoted within her first year as a junior analyst and making a meaningful impact where problems were happening. Personally, she considers her ability to make an impact on people and organizations to be one of her greatest achievements.

Ruby Joe is involved in various organizations at Goldman Sachs, including the Global Banking & Markets Women’s Network, the Hispanic Latinx network, and CTW events focused on community service.

Her advice to ProSales students is to enjoy college, make the most of connections with peers, and understand that grades are important, but the relationships and memories built in college last a lifetime.
