Meagan Rowell
Project Manager
Umbrage Studios

Meagan Rowell has worked as a Product Manager at Umbrage Studios for 3.5 years, where they create custom software solutions for clients. Her role involves managing a team of internal developers, designers, and quality assurance professionals, as well as collaborating with clients to create custom software solutions.

She leads discovery sessions, manages scrum ceremonies, prioritizes new features and bug fixes with clients, and more. Meagan began her career selling plastics for PolyOne Distribution, now Formerra, in 2015, and she eventually joined their Lean Six Sigma Black Belt program in 2018.

Meagan is a Baylor University graduate with a major in ProSales and Business Fellow and a minor in Political Science. She has fond memories of her experiences in the ProSales program and is grateful for the friendships she formed there. She also met her husband at Baylor, although they didn’t date until later.

Meagan has had a significant impact on shaping the culture at Umbrage Studios, where she was the first woman employee and began during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic. She initiated virtual events, birthday celebrations, and weekly company-wide stand-ups to keep everyone connected.

Her advice to students is to utilize resources for competitions, including meeting with mentors, practicing with peers, and coaching lower-class students. She also recommends embracing every second of their time at Baylor.
