Lansden Schmidt has been with Salesforce for a little over a year. In his role, he is responsible for business development across enterprise accounts, which includes activities like cold calling, prospecting, and leading discovery calls to generate interest in the Salesforce platform. His day-to-day work involves prospecting for targets and decision-makers, adding them to a cadence, and initiating contact through email, LinkedIn messages, and phone calls. Once he books a meeting, he collaborates with his team to strategize ways to drive value.

Lansden graduated from Baylor University, where he pursued double majors in Professional Selling and Business Management. He fondly recalls helping coach and lead another Pro Sales student to win the New York Sales competition, which allowed him to travel to New York and witness the victory.

One of his significant professional achievements is winning the Birdeye Sales Employee of the Month award, a prestigious recognition within the organization. Outside of work, Lansden volunteers and serves as a Board member for JH Ranch Atlanta, where he helps run camps that focus on improving parent-child relationships.

His advice to students is to prepare and organize, as staying organized and planning ahead can greatly contribute to success, especially when balancing academic and extracurricular commitments.
