Kim Andereck was appointed to the Ambassador Board in 2013. He has spent over 30 years as a professional salesman. Kim was Senior Vice President of Franchise Sales for Steak n Shake for 11 years. Prior franchise sales roles with Bennigan’s Bar & Grill, Tony Roma’s Restaurants, and the Friendly Ice Cream Company.
Since 2008, Kim and a small group of investors have developed, own and operate two Hiltons and one Marriott hotel in Cheyenne, WY.
Kim holds a J. D. from Western New England University School of Law; an M.B.A in Franchise Management from the University of St. Thomas; and a B. A. in History & Political Science from Culver-Stockton College.
Kim’s advice to aspiring sales professionals is the acronym P-I-C-I-E (picky). A successful sales career must contain these traits and characteristics:
- Passion. Love what you do. Wake up every day with the burning desire to sell.
- Intelligence. Learn from others and absorb best practices from mentors.
- Compassion. Act ethically and genuinely care; have a heart for others and their circumstances.
- Intensity. Focus on the goal without allowing distractions to stop you. Get the sale!
- Energy. A sales career takes time and effort. You must have stamina to persevere.
