Johana Favela started her career at IBM as a Digital Sales intern and later transitioned to a Business Development Role. She currently serves as an Oracle Business Consultant for IBM Consulting, supporting sales campaigns and initiatives.
Her primary responsibilities include ensuring the progress of campaigns, starting from identifying potential leads to working with marketing on content release, and following up with leads. Johana also holds a background in start-up sales, selling marketing software to small businesses in Australia.
Johana is a Baylor University graduate with a major in ProSales and Business Fellow and a minor in Political Science. She cherishes her experiences in the ProSales program and has fond memories of the relationships she built there.
One of her greatest accomplishments, both professionally and personally, is helping early-career professionals. On a personal note, she takes pride in raising her dog, a 3-year-old corgi.
She is affiliated with IBM Woman in Tech and IBM Hispanics Association, which have provided her with networking opportunities and the chance to make new friends. Her advice to students is to enjoy their time at Baylor, particularly in the ProSales program, and recognize that the skills learned there will be valuable throughout their careers.
