Calvin Dennis

Calvin Dennis has been a Certified Business Performance Advisor for 17 years at Insperity. He has chosen to remain an “intentional individual contributor” and feels a strong calling to help his clients succeed.

In his role, Calvin engages with small and medium-sized businesses to help them evaluate Insperity’s solutions. This involves a great deal of prospecting, networking, assisting existing clients with changes, and, most importantly, moving prospects through the sales dialogue. His typical day varies, but he focuses on engaging in conversations with business owners, whether in person or online.

Calvin’s career began by working for a small business handling corporate travel bookings. He emphasizes the power of the telephone in sales, which was more prevalent in his early career but is underutilized today.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Economics from the University of Texas at Arlington. Calvin is grateful for finding his calling career-wise 17 years ago and emphasizes that there is a right company for every ProSales student.

Calvin is affiliated with the Fort Worth Downtown Rotary and the Fort Worth & Arlington Chambers of Commerce, both of which focus on service, business development, and community involvement. His advice to students includes focusing on important tasks, compartmentalizing distractions, and being thoughtful about career choices.

He also encourages students not to automatically assume that they need to be in sales leadership to be happy and successful, suggesting that they make that decision purposefully.
