Andres Cruz Maldonado is an enthusiastic and driven Analyst at Piper Sandler, having joined the firm in June 2024. His role has allowed him to fully immerse himself in the dynamic world of high finance, and he has quickly taken on responsibilities across all aspects of the deal process. These include attending client meetings, developing financial models, conducting valuation analyses, and preparing marketing materials. In addition, Andres plays a key role in process tracking and due diligence proceedings, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
A graduate of Baylor University, Andres pursued an impressive combination of majors: Business Fellows, Professional Selling, Finance, MIS, and Philosophy. His academic journey was highlighted by his favorite classes, including Metaphysics, ProSales 2, and Entrepreneurial Finance, which helped shape his analytical and critical-thinking skills.
Professionally, Andres is proud of having secured internships every summer during his time at Baylor, which ultimately led to receiving a full-time investment banking offer before graduation. On a personal level, he is equally proud of balancing his faith, a long-term relationship with his soon-to-be wife, his rigorous academic and professional pursuits, and maintaining strong connections with friends and family.
As someone who has successfully navigated the ProSales program, Andres advises current students to “embrace the grind.” He believes the challenges of the program lead to rewards far beyond expectations, offering opportunities that students may not even realize at first.
