Account Executive
McKinstry
Alexa Black works at McKinstry in the Energy division as an Account Executive in Dallas, Texas. She has held this role since January 2024. Her primary responsibility is to guide clients through the entire sales cycle, from planning and designing to engineering, funding, and implementing upgrades for school districts.
She began her career at Schneider Electric as an Account Executive immediately after graduating from Baylor University and transitioned back to the great state of Texas to continue her career within the energy business in January of 2024. Alexa holds a degree in Professional Selling and Management Information Systems from Baylor, and she values the practical experiences and real-life situations she encountered in her favorite classes within the Professional Selling program.
Her greatest professional accomplishment is working with a rural client to create a transformational and budget-neutral project for their school. On a personal note, Alexa cherishes her time at Baylor, the lifelong friendships she made, and her ongoing mentoring and support of Baylor students through various programs.
She is actively involved in educational organizations and conferences in Texas, which helps her connect with clients and stay informed about the pressing needs within school districts. In addition to career involvement, Alexa also serves as a member in Junior League of Dallas and Genesis Young Leaders organization. She advises ProSales students to take full advantage of the program, ask questions, get to know people, and seek learning opportunities every day.
