Student Feature – Chase Gorman
Professional Curiosity
Chase Gorman embodies leadership, curiosity, and a deep appreciation for both nature and history. His passion for exploring remote areas, from weeklong rafting trips to hiking uncharted snow-covered peaks, reflects his love for challenging experiences that offer a respite from daily life. Alongside this, his interest in military studies has enriched his understanding of strategic decision-making, teaching him to navigate complex scenarios with limited information—a skill that translates well into his pursuits in finance and entrepreneurship.
Chase’s leadership capabilities were first evident during his time as vice president of his high school’s student-founded cycling club. Despite not being the top cyclist, he leveraged his skills in influence and network expansion to triple the club’s membership, bringing in over 80 new students. Chase connects well with people to grow the sense of community, a skill that has served him well in his current role as a Business Fellow and in his internship at PwC.
The ProSales program at Baylor has significantly shaped Chase’s professional trajectory, particularly through its emphasis on mentorship. By learning to approach each interaction with an open mind and avoiding assumptions, Chase has enhanced his performance both in the classroom and in the corporate world. His role as a senior mentor, or “big,” in the program allows him to guide newer students, reflecting his commitment to giving back and sharing knowledge. Chase’s passion for understanding the underlying reasons behind systems and processes, explores his broad interests and dedication to continuous learning and growth.
