A Passionate Friend

Maddie McKenzie is a people-person at heart and passionate about helping others. Her compassion for others has been evident during her time in ProSales where she made some of her greatest friendships. In the ProSales program, everyone looks out for one another, helping where they can, inside and outside of the classroom. Maddie displays this kind of friendship by providing accountability and feedback for her fellow classmates and friends. She is always ready to lend a listening ear.

Not only is Maddie reliable and trustworthy, she is also goal-oriented. Coming to Baylor as a first-generation college student, she made the Dean’s List each semester and is graduating in three years. When she is not studying or working at her internship, she enjoys cooking, working out and volunteering at a local shelter. Her service has extended to Honduras, where she was a part of a water-building project for the city of Tela.

ProSales has taught Maddie that even failure has its value. Sales is a career in which people face a lot of rejection and ProSales teaches how to turn that rejection into something positive, by seeing it as a learning experience. The program has given Maddie the opportunity to use skills such as critical thinking, creativity and professionalism outside of the classroom in her interactions with executives.
