After graduating from Baylor University, Jerome Rose began his career with IBM as a Channel Manager. During his Baylor experience, he was an active student, engaged in different clubs and activities. Thankful for his time at Baylor, his most well-remembered classes were always in the business school.

After 12 years with IBM, Jerome transitioned to Systems Maintenance Services, now known as Curvature, a company providing customized IT solutions. He spent 10 years there in various sales leadership roles, most recently as their VP- North American Sales.

Joining Microsoft in 2020, Jerome is a General Manager of Major Accounts responsible for the south-central region of the U.S. He currently manages a team of approximately 60 sales directors and individual contributors responsible for over $1B of Microsoft’s revenue. On a day-to-day basis, he is involved in coaching and developing his team and engaging with clients the team supports.

One of his greatest and most rewarding professional accomplishments to date was helping a previous employer complete a sale from one private equity company to another. “I learned a significant number of things during that experience.”

Outside of work and his engagement with Baylor, Jerome is involved in a number of organizations including the United Way of Greater Dallas, a non-profit strengthening communities through improved education, health, and income, and The Innocence Project which seeks to exonerate the innocently incarcerated and reform the criminal justice system.

“My advice to Baylor students in the ProSales program is to always look for opportunities to be around extremely bright individuals. Rarely do you want to be the smartest person in the room. This may be uncomfortable but aim to get comfortable being in those types of situations.”
