Student Feature – Margaret Newton

In Spring 2016, Baylor University launched its very own chapter of She’s the First*[Baylor], a national, non-profit organization that raises money for scholarships for women in low-income countries to finish their high school education. Leading the group as Public Relations Chair was Margaret Newton.

Margaret’s involvement in this organization is only a small glimpse into her passions. She’s also pursuing a minor in Italian (loves the country and the language) and loves entertaining others (even with quirky stunts such as hyper-extending her elbows and pulling her shoulder out of socket).

Margaret credits ProSales with developing skills that will be useful throughout any career path she pursues. According to Margaret, time management, professional speaking, and interpersonal skills are just a few of those skills.

As part of her senior year, Margaret plans to study abroad in Italy before beginning a full-time sales position with Texas Life.
