Student Feature – Luke Thompson

Luke Thompson is a senior ProSales student from Leawood, Kansas who is driven in all aspects. An avid outdoorsman, Luke earned Eagle Scout in 2010. For his Eagle Scout project, Luke helped construct outdoor benches for his home church’s gathering space. Luke’s driven nature can also be seen through what he accomplished during his internship at Konica Minolta Business Solutions in Dallas, Texas. Luke was the top intern in the southern region, and exceeded his sales quota by 180%.

“Sales is so much more than just selling,” Luke stated when asked about what the Baylor ProSales program has taught him; “Many people come into sales with connotations of what it is, but it’s so much more than making the sale. It’s about driving value for the customer.”

As a double major in both Sales and Entrepreneurship, Luke is an expert when it comes to analytics. This analytical spirit can be seen in his performance in the classroom when he helped his team produce the analytics of the case that won them 2nd place at the Indiana University National Team Selling Competition.
