Student Feature – Hunter Hendrickson
“My whole family has gone to Baylor, and we all actually started out in music,” said Hunter Hendrickson, a senior ProSales student from Arlington, TX. Although Hunter began his journey at Baylor in music education, he decided to look at other paths where he could see himself making a difference in the world. Hunter recalls sitting in his first ProSales class and hearing his professor tell him that “selling isn’t just about selling—it’s about establishing relationships and making a difference.” It was then that Hunter knew he had found his academic future.
ProSales has taught Hunter to “settle for nothing but excellence.” Driving him towards this standard of excellence are two things—his family and his faith. Focusing on something bigger than himself motivates Hunter to succeed. This drive can be seen in Hunter’s internship experience at Oracle where he was able to surpass his quota for a large Oracle event, Oracle Open World, by 220%.
Hunter gives much of the credit for his success to the Baylor ProSales program. The skills that he learned inside the classroom put him ahead of the game, and his knowledge set him apart in his internship experiences. In addition, Hunter loves the family atmosphere that comes with being a part of the Baylor ProSales program. Each student knows every other student on a personal level. These relationships, Hunter recognizes, will benefit the students in the long run when they transition from student peers to colleagues.
