Senior Feature – Valerie Vaughn
Excelling in academics is something that comes naturally to Valerie Vaughn, a senior Professional Sales major. This passion for learning began at an early age for Valerie. When she started high school, Valerie set a goal to be named her class valedictorian—a goal she achieved.
At Baylor, Valerie holds multiple scholarships for academic excellence, and made the Dean’s List on numerous occasions. Additionally, Valerie is a member of several campus organizations that promote academic merit. As a member of Student Foundation (a group which hosts campus events to raise money for student scholarships), Valerie helped raise $69,000. Valerie also works as a tutor for student athletes. In that role, she advises student athletes on strategic study practices and helps them address difficulties they may be facing in classes. Academic achievements, her own and for others, are priority one for Valerie.
