Student Feature – Grant Holmes

Baylor University’s athletic achievements are driving increased student enrollment and greater numbers of visitors. Showing off the Baylor campus is Grant Holmes, a senior Professional Sales and Marketing major and a campus tour guide.

Grant first promoted Baylor as a member of the Baylor call center where he used his persuasive sales skills (learned in the classroom) when contacting prospective students. Two months into his tenure in the call center, Grant was named “Caller of the Month” in October 2012.

As a Campus Visits Representative, Grant leads tours of up to 100 students and parents, highlighting the benefits for students at Baylor, and educating visitors on Baylor’s history. In addition to students, Grant has hosted C-level executives and their families for tours. Working in the call center and as a campus tour guide have given Grant the opportunity to exercise his sales skills and share his passion for Baylor with others.
