Senior Feature – Pres McKissack

Pres McKissack, a senior Professional Sales major, experiences the fullness of life by helping everyone around him become more successful. In short, he operates as a servant leader, someone who puts the needs of others first and ensures their success before his own.

A great example of Pres’ heart for being a servant leader took place in ProSales I, his first sales class. Pres stepped up and coached a number of his peers for their sales role-play assignment. By spending 15+ hours coaching students for the role-play assignment, the class’ role-play average increased by a half letter grade.

According to Pres, he gains personally by being a servant leader to his peers: “Coaching my peers was not only emotionally rewarding, but it also helped me to gain a better understanding of the sales process. In giving of my time, energy, and focus to help others, I end up achieving more than I had ever imagined.”
