Student Feature – David McGee

“I have a passion for high performance cars and delivering value to customers,” said David McGee, a senior Business Management and ProSales major from Red Oak, TX. David has worked on cars for years. His first car was a 1984 Camaro that he modified himself. Since then, he’s worked on another Camaro and a 2001 Mustang to enhance their performance.

David participated in the 3M Frontline Sales initiative this past summer. Specifically, he was tasked with driving 3M’s Wheel Weight sales penetration while expanding the 3M footprint with key valued distributors. David found this internship to be the right track for him. “This opportunity not only led to a full time job at 3M after graduation in their automotive aftermarket division but it solidified my passion for helping customers meet their needs,” said McGee.

“I realized early on that my personal and career aspirations would require specific skills. That’s why I decided to major in ProSales because it provides me a great opportunity to enhance my communication skills.”
