Student Feature – Jim Oltman
“Pursuing ProSales at Baylor came naturally as I love being among strong leaders. A desire for leadership experience led me to join Air Force ROTC at Baylor,” said Jim Oltman, a senior ProSales student from Cincinnati, OH. “Since joining ROTC, I worked my way from a flight commander (in charge of training 14 underclassmen) to Executive Officer (in charge of training for 125+ cadets).”
Jim brought his leadership skills to his community service work and led a team of 10 Air Force ROTC and Army ROTC cadets alongside active duty personnel in planning a local Wounded Veterans Run. The run raised over $4,800 for the Wounded Warrior Project, a veterans service organization that offers programs and events for wounded veterans of military actions. “Learning how to lead and effectively communicate set me apart from the crowd, and I have ROTC and ProSales to thank for my growth,” says Oltman.
