Piya Patel – A Symphony of Business and Creativity

Piya Patel is a business major with a deep passion for the arts and personal growth. While she excels in her academic pursuits, she also dedicates time to writing a science fiction novel and has had her work published in national fiction magazines. In her free time, Piya enjoys learning new skills, such as playing the piano and crocheting. Her commitment to spiritual growth is a guiding force in her daily life, influencing her actions and decisions.

Leadership and service are integral to Piya’s identity. As a member of the Hankamer Student Organization, she serves as a liaison to the Dean, representing her peers’ interests. Additionally, Piya is the Editor-In-Chief of Baylor’s student literary magazine, The Phoenix. This role has allowed her to exercise leadership by working closely with faculty advisors to implement administrative changes, fostering the magazine’s growth and development. Her dedication to leadership extends beyond titles, as she strives to make a positive impact on those around her.

Piya’s journey through the ProSales program has been transformative. Initially unsure of what college would hold, she has grown into a confident and articulate individual under the mentorship of influential educators like Dr. Dixon. The program has equipped her with strategic thinking and communication skills that have proven invaluable in both professional and personal settings. Whether in sales internships or networking conferences, Piya’s authenticity and creativity shine through, making her a better communicator and problem-solver. She is deeply grateful for the support and care provided by the ProSales faculty.
