Sam Horn – Bridging Cultures and Excelling in Global Leadership

Sam Horn is a determined and globally-minded individual double majoring in Supply Chain Management and ProSales at Baylor University. His fascination with foreign languages and cultures fuels his aspiration to connect with people across the globe. With over a decade of studying Mandarin Chinese and nearly two years of learning French, Sam is passionate about building trust and respect through language. His recent study abroad trip to Singapore and Indonesia allowed him to explore cultural landmarks, develop a supply and operations plan for a resort, and gain firsthand insight into major distribution hubs in the Asia Pacific, enriching his global perspective and business acumen.

On campus, Sam channels his determination and leadership through his role as a Sing Chair for All-University Sing, an unexpected but rewarding pursuit inspired by his background in athletics. This experience has provided him with opportunities to foster camaraderie, compete, and lead with excellence. In the ProSales program, Sam has consistently excelled, earning first and second place in Baylor ProSales competitions, as well as top placements in national and regional internship and supply chain competitions within the same year. ProSales has been transformative in teaching Sam how to navigate complex, high-pressure environments while maintaining a holistic perspective on business operations.

Sam’s passion for continuous improvement extends beyond academics, as he applies the skills he’s gained from ProSales to every aspect of his life, from writing emails and planning his day to training for a half marathon and solving challenges in extracurricular activities. The program’s engaging and real-world learning style has prepared him for a career in international sales, where he aims to become a global business leader fluent in five languages by age 40. With his unwavering determination, cultural curiosity, and strategic mindset, Sam is well-positioned to make a meaningful impact on the global stage.
