Ben Montag exemplifies resilience and a passion for entrepreneurship, shaped by his unique background and diverse interests. Homeschooled throughout high school and a first-generation college student, Ben’s journey is marked by hard work and competition, as shown in his experience as a two-sport varsity athlete in baseball and football. He loves to stay active in many ways – he enjoys intramural sports, snowboarding, beach outings, and playing the guitar and piano. These activities reflect his dynamic personality and commitment to pushing his limits.
Ben’s involvement in Baylor’s wakeboarding club is a testament to his dedication and willingness to embrace new challenges. Learning wakeboarding required time and consistency, proving to himself that perseverance pays off. His participation in the ProSales program at Baylor has further instilled in him a sense of pride and ownership in his work. The program’s environment of camaraderie and healthy competition has fostered his growth, teaching him that success is directly proportional to the effort invested.
In his professional journey, Ben applied classroom skills to real-world scenarios during his summer internship, creating value for customers and viewing setbacks as opportunities for growth. His passion for serving others and driving successful results is evident in his volunteer work at homeless shelters and food pantries.
