Student Feature – Andrew Richards

Adventure with Community
Andrew Richards is a thoughtful and dynamic individual whose diverse experiences have shaped his mature and reflective nature. His study abroad adventures, spanning from Rome to London, and his participation in the Baylor Interdisciplinary Core (BIC) program have exposed him to a wide range of perspectives and philosophies. These experiences have not only broadened his worldview but also sharpened his critical thinking skills, making him a conscientious and dedicated worker. Andrew’s curiosity for understanding life’s greatest issues translates into a Japanese business philosophy known as Kaizen. Kaizen is about “continuous improvement” through teamwork and planning, which Andrew is committed to follow wherever he works.
Andrew’s dedication to personal and professional growth is evident in his approach to sales. As an SDR at Collective 54, Andrew worked diligently to meet and exceed the goals set for him. He stayed disciplined, set goals, and kept track of activities in order to exceed expectations. This approach allowed him to complete 106% of the activities expected by his manager. This commitment to excellence allowed Andrew to set over 30 calls between busy founders and owners of professional services firms and multiple Account Executives.
Leadership and community are integral to Andrew’s journey. As a Community Leader at Baylor, he guided and befriended 22 freshman students, organizing events and fostering meaningful connections. This role allowed him to develop his leadership skills and form lasting friendships, learning from his co-workers, supervisor, and understanding the value of teamwork. This experience, along with the ProSales program, has taught Andrew to manage his introversion, balancing listening and speaking to build better relationships with colleagues and clients.
