Student Feature – Gabby Hendricks

Life is a Marathon

Gabby Hendricks exemplifies what it means to be dedicated, resilient, and passionate for both her personal and professional growth. Her commitment to fitness is particularly notable, having competed in multiple half marathons and triathlons, including a first-place finish in her age division. This drive for excellence extends beyond athletics into all aspects of her life, including her involvement with the Sustainability Student Advisory Board and Kappa Kappa Gamma. Gabby’s summer study-abroad experience in Spain, where she immersed herself in the language and culture, reflects her love for relational experiences and her commitment to deepening her understanding of diverse backgrounds. This cultural immersion paralleled her enjoyment of sales, where building meaningful relationships is key.

Throughout her high school years and into college, Gabby’s leadership and mentorship roles have been integral to her development. As a YoungLife student leader, she planned programs, communicated with donors, and mentored middle school students, many of whom she continues to support as they embark on their college journeys. Her current involvement in Baylor’s ProSales program has further tested her skills in time management, effective communication, and professional networking. These skills have been crucial in her internship at PwC, where she  successfully applied ProSales techniques to understand client needs and tailor her approach for maximum impact.

Gabby’s experience in ProSales has significantly enhanced her professional and personal life, particularly through the deep relationships she has forged. She values the mentorship and support from both her professors and corporate connections, as well as the friendships formed with peers and upperclassmen. Her disciplined approach, influenced by her athletic training, showcases her ability to balance multiple commitments and achieve her goals. The connections she has made, from executive relationships to close friendships, highlight her ability to thrive in collaborative environments and leverage these experiences for future success.
