Compassion and Resilience

Emily Muehl is a shining example of a dedicated and compassionate individual whose life revolves around the mission of serving others. Her journey of service began with volunteer work for The Friends of Scott Foundation and Make-A-Wish, organizations dedicated to uplifting childhood cancer patients and their families during their toughest battles. What makes Emily’s dedication even more remarkable is that she herself is a childhood cancer survivor, making her involvement in these organizations deeply personal and inspiring. She is committed to fostering a loving and supportive community and is truly thankful for the opportunity to impact the lives of those around her.

Emily’s passion for service extends beyond her volunteer work. She had a transformative experience when she competed in J.P. Morgan Chase’s “Innovate for Impact Case Study Competition.” Collaborating with a diverse team of students from colleges nationwide, Emily contributed to innovative solutions aimed at promoting economic growth in a city in need. Her team’s strategic plan earned a spot in the final round of the competition, highlighting her ability to excel in a high-stakes, real-world scenario.

As a Baylor ProSales student, Emily’s journey in the business world has not only enriched her knowledge but also instilled in her the confidence to be comfortable in her own skin. She’s learned the value of resilience and the importance of embracing failures as steppingstones to growth. Emily’s exceptional time management skills, honed during ProSales 2 while juggling a demanding schedule of classes, work, and extracurricular activities, have enabled her to efficiently plan ahead and excel in both her academic and personal life. Emily’s determination and resilience are further exemplified by her 10-year commitment to Taekwondo, where she achieved the impressive feat of earning her black belt at a young age, a testament to her ability to persevere through adversity and relentlessly pursue her goals.
