Bridging Athletics, Entrepreneurship, and Sales
Ben Hamilton stands out for his unique blend of experiences and entrepreneurial spirit. His journey, marked by three years of competing at the highest level of college football, provided him with invaluable skills in collaboration and performing under pressure. Ben’s football experience not only sharpened his competitive edge but also served as the catalyst for identifying a problem within the sports industry that could be solved with technology.
Co-founding a software startup, Ben is dedicated to revolutionizing the way athletes study their playbooks. Recognizing the disconnect between studying methods for school and sports playbooks, he and a former teammate have developed an app, Gameprep, offering interactive flashcards, quizzes, and an organized playbook accessible anytime and anywhere. Ben’s journey in the Baylor ProSales program further amplified his skills, offering realistic simulations of business-to-business sales processes, from prospecting to closing deals. The program’s emphasis on structuring sales meetings and understanding the science behind human interactions has equipped him to excel in his entrepreneurial endeavors. His ability to apply classroom knowledge in his startup journey has allowed him to secure funding and commitments from universities. Ben Hamilton exemplifies the qualities of a forward-thinking entrepreneur who seamlessly integrates his athletic background and academic learning into his ventures. His passion for entrepreneurship and belief in the power of collaboration and competition position him for success in sales and beyond.
