Student Feature – Jason Treese

Mentoring and Meeting Needs

Passionate about helping others, Jason Treese seeks to be a mentor wherever possible. He is an active volunteer who serves in his church and was drawn towards sales because of the potential to help improve the lives of others.

Double majoring in ProSales and Management, Jason serves as Vice President of Baylor’s Country Dance club and also as an instructor. He has been an officer for three years and helped the club grow to a record number of members. He credits his ProSales classes with teaching him to employ active listening to determine what others’ need, as well as speaking assertively when he has a solution. That active listening and assertive listening process demonstrates confidence and develops trust in Jason’s relationships.

Furthermore, Jason has learned the importance of failure, understanding that it is not something to be afraid of, but rather a tool to becoming a better person. He values the community feel of the program and the shared bonds developed through challenging assignments. Jason is looking forward to mentoring others in his sales career and meeting his customer’s needs.
