Student Feature – Keaton Kechter

A Curious Optimist

A first-generation college student and self-described optimist, Keaton Kechter stepped outside of his comfort zone by attending business school. Passionate about community and motivated by the people he loves, Keaton strives to be the best version of himself. He values curiosity and has learned to be comfortable asking questions.

A member of Baylor’s Alpha Tau Omega fraternity, Keaton is grateful to have role models to look up to while setting a good example as a role model to younger brothers in the fraternity. His ProSales classes strengthened his communication skills by helping him to identify the needs of others and understand how to frame his solution.

As part of ProSales, Keaton has learned to always seek opportunities to serve others, as the cooperative nature of the program encourages students to seek advice from and help one another. His favorite part of the program is the community that encourages him to improve his skills, and Keaton is looking forward to bringing his optimistic and curious nature to his future sales career.
