Student Feature – Gabby Jackson
When she was just 13 years old, Gabby was inducted into the Hall of Fame for Martial Arts. As a second-degree black belt, she learned to step out of her comfort zone and not be afraid to be a leader. For seven years, Gabby was a swim coach in Atlanta, where she was responsible for 221 children. In her last year, she was promoted to head coach.
Gabby is currently Vice President 2 for Zeta Tau Alpha and is responsible for ensuring new members smoothly transition into the sorority. During her time at Baylor, she interned with Blue Cross Blue Shield and with a local fitness company.
As a Professional Selling major, Gabby has been able to apply the skills she has learned in the program to her internship. For example, she was asked to give mini seminars on selling effectively. Additionally, her superiors sought her approval before implementing any new sales initiative. They trusted her ability and leadership in maximizing the companyā€™s potential.
Gabby is grateful to start her career at Johnson & Johnson – Ethicon.
