Student Feature – Abraham Lipets
As a first-generation American, Abraham is determined to take advantage of every opportunity that comes his way. He is a Professional Selling major and is Vice President of New Member Development for the IFC board. In this board role, he is responsible for educating new fraternity brothers on difficult topics, such as substance abuse and sexual violence. He also works three jobs to pay for his college tuition. In his spare time, Abraham grows poblano peppers to make salsa from scratch. He also enjoys water polo, a sport he has played since 8th grade.
Throughout the program, Abraham has learned that the best salesperson isn’t actually a “sales” person. The best salespersons are, first and foremost, consultants. You must be willing and able to provide value to a colleague through education. And if you do that, a sale will naturally occur. Abraham has been able to apply these lessons at his current jobs, and looks forward to applying these skills in his new position at Goldman Sachs.
