Student Feature – Colton Wiseman

Colton loves to make people smile. He describes himself as an entertainer, and says he is always striving to bring joy to others. One way he does this is through his longboard business. Colton makes longboards from scratch. Starting with wood, he molds the wood into a board, then designs and paints the boards. He says he loves to see people get enjoyment from something he created.

Sales is another venue through which Colton strives to make other people happy. Identifying a client’s need and filling that need is one way to bring joy to others, but Colton says he also tries to bring out their excitement for life in the process. In addition to pursuing a major in ProSales, Colton is also pursuing an Entrepreneurship major. Colton says the ProSales program has taught him to be confident and value relationships and networking. He has also learned to be conscious of etiquette and nonverbal cues.

Colton adds his own gifts to the skills he has learned through ProSales, applying good sales techniques with a professional attitude all while striving to make people smile and add excitement to their lives. Colton plans to bring more smiles at BirdEye.
